I didn’t know this blurb existed until I looked inside the front pages of my ARC for Other:

Other has it all: love, shifters, pookas, and nail-biting action. What’s even better, Kincy’s characters are vibrant, real and lovable. This is a debut that leaves you aching for more.” — Carrie Jones, New York Times bestselling author of Need and Captivate

This was like finding an unexpected, un-smushed chocolate truffle under my pillow. I’m thrilled that the lovely and talented Carrie Jones enjoyed reading my novel.  And every time I realize Real Live People (to be more exact, Super Fantastic Authors, and soon Super Fantastic Reviewers) are starting to read Other, I am possessed with an urge to get up and do a crazy hoppy voodoo dance to dispel my nerves. Little homework is being done. But I am happy.

It’s also really weird to crack open a book you wrote, and see all the words looking fancy and bookish, with little curlicue flourish things between the scenes and fancy chapter headers. Reeeeeally weird. I wonder if experienced authors get used to it, or keep blushing and giggling like I’m doing.
